Please follow these; they're quite important.

No illegal activity. I mean, people, this is just plain common sense. Why would you post anything illegal in the first place?
No inappropriate pictures, spam, or inappropriate advertisements (example: porn, we want none of that). Remember, Google bots check sites everyday and we don't want this board to shut down just because of one person, right?
Swearing can only be mild. Yeah, yeah, yeah we all do it. But please at least keep it semi-clean. I mean something like d**n is okay; but there's no need for the full-blown swear words. Just because you think it might be cool, doesn't mean it is.
PG-13 all the way. Meaning: kissing, hugging, regular PDA is allowed. But nothing more than that. Remember, we have kids under the age of thirteen that can join (they can lie about their age) so please, keep it basically clean. Actually, we can have rated R, but make sure that you put {R} or {XXX} or something in the title to make everyone aware.
Respect all the staff. They are here to help you, not fight with you. Plus, it's kinda rude to be unrespectful to anyone. So, respect everyone member onboard here. We all appreciate it, plus if you are respectful you might become member of the month.
If you are inactive for over eight weeks, your account will be disabled. Not deleted, but disabled. So, if you ever decide to come back, you may use your previous account.
Be active. I can't stress enough about this. And yes, I admit, I'm guilty of this too. But try to get on at least twice a week to post, not just check PMs and such. We want you to interact with other members by roleplay also.
Display names should be the name of your character. Meaning that it can't be 'surferchick399' or 'abc123' et cetera. Something like 'Kayla Pickery' is an example for a name. If you don't know what you want your character's name to be, Google a search for names or ask someone if they have any ideas for a name.
One character per account. You can create as many accounts as you like as long as they're all active throughout the site. Twins are exceptions. You may have only two characters on one account if you have twin characters (but only if you personally have both characters, otherwise the a different person could have your twin).
My goal is to have at least 300 members by June 2008. So, tell your friends, family, enemies, whoever about this site and get them to join. You will get rewards for all the people you have signed up. Plus, with a lot of members, you have more options for people to RP with, right? And more people will join if they know the site is active enough.

No god modding. God modding is when you make another character do something when it's not your character. I mean, please people, you're not god. Yeah, you and wish, hope, and dream but please don't pretend you are to make everyones lives easier.
When writing, please use third person. I know that sometime's you'll make the character like you, but still, keep it in third person. It makes it better quality writing and a lot more interesting as if it were a different person; not you.
Try not to use incorrect spelling. I dread about roleplaying with words that are never spelled correctly. Even ask some of my friends; they get mad at me all the time for correcting their mistakes which is basically always spelling.
When roleplaying, always write at least 200 words. I know this might be hard sometimes, but just use more detail. Like how the wind is blowing, what does your character smell, et cetera. Plus, it makes it easier for the person your roleplaying with to actually reply and write a decent one themselves. And no one liners. The person you're roleplaying with wants to have some details, too.
Okay, you know how sometimes people never read the rules; well this is a test rule. My favourite colour is giraffe. In the application place the word giraffe in there [anywhere] so that I know you've read the rules like a good little girl/boy.
No double posting. It shouldn't be that hard. If you didn't notice, there's a modify button. Use that instead of wasting post counts and everyone else's time.

Marriages, engagements, et cetera are all, of course, allowed. Just thought I'd put that in here. Just, if your character does get married, and you change your characters last name, make sure you let an administrator know.
When it comes to what your character looks like, you have to have an image in the profile. Either an avatar or signature, or both. And it has to be a real person, no anime please. I know some of you want to use it, but it gets kinda annoying after a while. Just search on google for a celebrity and look one up if you want one at random. Otherwise ask around to find someone who might know a celeb with the description you need.
If you want your character pregnant, please make sure it's okay with me. Ask me in a PM or something. If you PM another staff member it will be ignored, no need to bother anyone else. Plus, I would like to handle this area personally to make sure there is enough details and whatnot.
If you change your character's name, last name, et cetera; make sure you let an administrator know. We would like to be informed so that we can keep track of everyone that is on the site.

The maximum size of a signature is 500x400 pixels. I believe this is fair enough, not too big. Plus, I don't know about you, but it always, always annoys me when a signature stretches the page. If you need, just ask someone to resize it for you, it's not that difficult.
No gruesome content in any pictures. Some people can't handle the images and it's completely unnecessary. I believe I'm playing fair, besides it's kinda common sense here.

This board is to have some fun. I want that too. So, please, make this a fun board to spend your time.
